October 15th is almost here. October 15th is the last day to file your 2016 1040. To be exact, you have 10 days to file a tax return. But who is counting? We are! If you still haven’t done your taxes, don’t panic. We have prepared with these five great last minute tax tips to help you through this challenging process.
TIP 1: GET ORGANIZED
Gather all the necessary documents so that none are missing when preparing your tax return. Check out this helpful list below.
TIP 2: MAKE AN APPOINTMENT or DROP YOUR INFORMATION OFF BEFORE 10/10/17
Call to 1-850-208-3356 or click this link https://calendly.com/pbarrett/60min to make an appointment, so you commit to it and avoid possible delays.
TIP 3: ADD THE APPOINTMENT TO YOUR CALENDAR
Write it on your calendar at home, and also consider adding it to the calendar on your phone with a reminder the day before your appointment.
TIP 4: AVOID RUSHING THROUGH THE PROCESS
It is very easy to make a mistake when you’re rushed, and you want to be sure that you get all the deductions and credits to which you are entitled! If you are not ready, you still have to file a return by 10/15/17, but you can amend this return for up to 3 years (not recommended).
TIP 5: STAY POSITIVE
Once your tax return is prepared and filed, you will have the peace of mind knowing that this task is complete. And also, you could be eligible to receive a tax refund!
Let the tax prep professionals at Southern Cloud Accounting LLC help you prepare your taxes correctly to ensure you get the maximum refund possible.
