As a business owner, it’s better that way.  The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Network is the #1 LinkedIn Group for CFOs and I highly recommend joining for all things related to the financial administration of your company. In this case, I’m citing a brief article that recently appeared on the CFO Network that struck a chord with me. It noted that payroll and tax are most outsourced functions because they are the easiest and fastest to outsource. The effort and pain in outsourcing other functions is much higher requiring a higher level of involvement with the company and its internal procedures. The poll showed that 47% of respondents in both the U.S. and Canada outsource payroll. As far as tax, 42% in the U.S. and 37% in Canada outsource that function as well.
